TedX San Diego

Turning Ideas into Action Through Dynamic Design

Overview
For TEDx San Diego, we crafted a bold visual identity around the theme “Ideas to Action,” focusing on forward momentum and the transformation of ideas into tangible impact. This vibrant system infused energy and movement into their brand across both physical and digital touchpoints—from logos and typography to event collateral.

The Challenge
The primary goal was to inspire attendees not only to absorb ideas but to act on them. The visual identity needed to feel alive with possibility, seamlessly adaptable to environmental graphics, digital media, and installations—while remaining clear, bold, and instantly recognizable.

Our Approach
We focused on motion-inspired design elements designed to communicate progress and energy:

  • Flowing Lines & Dynamic Shapes: Emphasizing the forward momentum inherent in the theme.

  • Versatile Brand Applications: Enabling the visual system to span everything from logos to typographic treatments to event collateral.

  • Environmental Graphics & Installations: Guidelines tailored to activate physical spaces, making the conference feel immersive and energized.

Impact

  • Delivered a cohesive identity that translated energy and motion into visual form.

  • Designed compelling event spaces and collateral that motivated attendees toward action.

  • Reinforced TEDx San Diego’s mission by creating a design that felt purposeful, unified, and enlivening.
